The following databases are available for LSR7 high school students and staff. Please contact our library if you need assistance with access.

Research Tools

Database (at home) Access – Most of our database can be accessed from school without a password. However, when logging in from home, all databases require a password. Click here for a list of passwords to the LSWHS databases. You will also find registration directions for some of our subscriptions. **You must be logged in to your LSR7 Google account to access this document.**

Noodletools – Noodletools is the research platform to which LSR7 subscribes. Students can create citations, notecards, outlines, and more within the platform. **You must use the Noodletool’s link provided by the library. If you do not use our link, you will not be able to access previous work or save current work.**

Sora: Audiobooks & EBooks

Students and staff can checkout audiobooks and ebooks via the LSR7 digital collection (SORA).

Login

Visit bit.ly/LSWDigitalLibrary & login using the formula below:

Login: Student ID # (lunch #)
PW: Capital First Initial lowercase last initial Student ID #

Add Mid-Continent to your account

Click on the icon in the top right corner to access your settings.
Then click the icon.
You’ll have to search for it by name or zip code (using the 64082 zip code is easiest)
Once you find it click “This is my library” button
The library will be added to your settings.
If you choose a book from Mid-Continent you will have to log in to your Mid-Continent account.
- Student login is LS#######(student number).
- Student PIN is their 8 digit birthdate.

Finding A Book

Click the icon at the bottom of your screen to access the search features.
Once you’ve found a book click “Borrow” (If the button says “Place Hold”, the book is already checked out and you’ll be put on a list to borrow it when it becomes available.

Reading Your Book

Once you’ve borrowed a book it will be placed on your shelf. Click the icon at the bottom of your screen to access the book.

How To Use Sora on Your Device (Phone or Tablet)

Install App

Install the Sora app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or go to https://soraapp.com.

Find Lee's Summit R-7 Schools

In Sora, find Lee’s Summit R-7 Schools (use the zip code 64082), then sign in.

Login: Student ID # (lunch #)
PW: Capital First Initial lowercase last initial Student ID #

Finding a Book

Browse the Explore tab and borrow a book. Your book will open so you can start reading right away.

Your Books

Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books (including assignments). From there, you can:

Click or tap Open Book or Open Audiobook to read or listen to the book.
Click or tap Options to renew or return the book, get to your notes and highlights, and more.

Gateway Readers Award Program

We would love for you to participate in the Gateway Readers Award Program. Participants who read at least 2 nominees vote for their favorite and get a free lunch. Periodic updates will be sent to your email throughout the school year and voting information will be sent in March.

Book Club
